The daughter of slain rapper AKA, Kairo Forbes, shut down this year’s Galaxy 947 Joburg Day festival.

Kiernan “AKA” Forbes’s life was celebrated with a tribute performance by K.O, Khuli Chana, Yanga Chief, Thato Saul, Da L.E.S, and The Mega Band, who performed songs they’ve collaborated with him on.

His partner at the time of his death Nadia Nakai donned a denim jacket with a portrait of them together when performing their hit single Dangerous featuring Blxckie.

AKA’s father Tony Forbes, mother Lynn, and business partner Raphael Benza also jumped on stage in support of Kairo when she sang her father’s song Company which left the crowd in tears and cheering for her.
