Kabelo Mabalane praises spiritual leader Joseph Prince

The SAMA award-winning rapper Kabelo Mabalane has shared heartfelt words towards his Christian inspiration in a moving post.

Best known for being a member of one of South Africa’s most iconic kwaito groups, TKZee, Kabelo has built himself a solid fanbase in the entertainment space. But while the glitz and glam of being in the public eye may have seemed desirable to the naked eye, he knew that he was destined for more.

After battling with addiction for numerous years, he finally discovered his true purpose when he decided to make the conscious decision to follow Christ.

The proud husband and father recently took time out to honour a man who played a critical role in encouraging a then-young Christian man to continue pursuing his faith – Singaporean evangelist Joseph Prince.

Taking to Instagram, he recently shared a picture of the two during a recent gathering, thanking him for the role he has played in the lives of many Christians around the world.

“Where do I even begin. I praise Jesus for this precious gift to the Body of Christ. Ps Joseph Prince, you have impacted my life in ways you will never know,” he wrote.

“I was saved but never fully encountered the Gospel of Jesus Christ. Through you, I have. I think back fondly to this time, pictured here in Singapore, when you graciously availed yourself from evening to early hours of the morning (third watch to first watch) unpacking Jesus to a group of us. Wow! My pastor’s pastor.”

Like Joseph, Kabelo is now also a proud Christian leader and pastor, and often shares his testimony of addiction and redemption on public platforms.

Last month, he celebrated 23 years of sobriety.
