Jojo Robinson’s back surgery was successful

Reality TV star Jojo Robinson has successfully undergone surgery after recently opening up about her battle with skin cancer on her back.

Just days after revealing her diagnosis, Robinson shared an emotional post ahead of the procedure, reflecting on the physical and personal impact of the condition.

She disclosed that doctors had identified multiple cancerous spots on her back, which required surgical removal.

“The last day my back tattoo will look like this… Tomorrow is surgery day where we remove the multiple skin cancers on my back, currently six all together,” she wrote.

The star explained that the procedure would significantly alter her tattoo, a piece she spent over 30 hours completing, making the experience even more difficult.

“Large sections of the tattoo will be removed and I have no idea what that’s going to look like… but essentially this is just the next phase of that story,” she shared, adding that tattoos represent personal journeys.

Robinson also used her platform to address misconceptions, clarifying that her condition is not related to tattoos.

“Skin cancer is NOT linked to tattoos… It’s genetic… it is also from UV exposure and the type of skin I have,” she explained.

Opening up about the emotional toll, she admitted: “I’m sorry I’ve been quiet, I’ve been sad.”

A day after the surgery, an update was shared on her social media, confirming that the operation was a success.

The message revealed that the procedure lasted approximately three and a half hours and that Robinson was recovering.

“Jo’s surgery was successful… she’s currently sleeping it off,” the update read, alongside photos of her in a hospital bed.

The post also expressed gratitude to the medical team who cared for her during the procedure, as well as to fans who showed overwhelming support.

“The team of nurses and staff… are absolutely amazing. Thank you for taking such good care of my Jojo… and everyone for the love and support,” the message added.

Robinson’s candid updates have drawn widespread support online.
