Jojo Robinson shares update on back surgery

Jojo Robinson has opened up about her recent cancer surgery, sharing a hopeful update while encouraging others to prioritise their health.

Taking to social media, Robinson revealed that her procedure was successful, with doctors managing to remove the cancer completely for now.

“All my results post surgery came back with clear margins. Dr McGarr was able to remove it all for now ❤️,” she wrote.

Despite the positive outcome, she acknowledged the possibility of recurrence, explaining that she intends to stay vigilant going forward.

“Yes they will come again but next time I’ll catch it sooner and surgery won’t be necessary (I hope),” she added.

Robinson, who also posted videos and images showing her recovery, gave followers a glimpse of her healing process after the operation.

She shared that she is expected to have her stitches removed soon, marking another step in her recovery journey.

“I remove the stitches on Friday 💃,” she said.

Using her experience to raise awareness, Robinson urged fans not to ignore changes in their skin, stressing the importance of early detection.

“Get your skin checked… if you have anything on your skin you’re worried about, go see Dr Len Nel and let him have a look,” she advised.

She went on to praise both her dermatologist and surgeon for their roles in her treatment, highlighting the importance of seeking expert care when dealing with serious health concerns.

“If the skin cancer is caught earlier you are able to do much less invasive measures to get rid of them… catching them early is best,” Robinson explained.

She also pointed out how common the condition is, warning that many people may not even realise they have it.

“Skin cancer is very common, more than you would think and most people are unaware of what they even have.”

The reality TV star ended her update by thanking her supporters for their overwhelming messages of love during a difficult time.

“Also to all my social media fam I love you… the beautiful words and messages and love were overwhelming, I wish I could have replied to everyone personally.”
