Reality TV star and car fanatic Jojo Robinson has proven to be the epitome of a housewife. This time, she shared that she is considering going green by possibly trading her Range Rover for a BMW electric car or hybrid.

Citing her reasons for the change, Jojo highlighted the fuel increase and shortage as the cars they own are heavy on petrol and diesel. Taking to her Instagram page, Jojo shared their journey in car shopping.

While searching for their new vehicle, they learnt that the power grid of their home would not have the capacity to charge the car battery and everything that they have in their house.

Captioning her post, she said: “Today we went to BMW in Ballito to look at some of the electric vehicles they have. All our cars are really heavy on fuel and obviously with what’s going on in the world right now, we thought maybe we should trade my Range Rover in for an electric car.

“Our first choice is the BMW fully electric i7. And then maybe even a hybrid option x5. We test drove both and I fell in love with the i7 but after all that, and being ready to do the deal on the i7, we found out our home’s power grid is already running at capacity with all the things this home has and the size of the house.

“That our grid and solar wouldn’t be able to handle adding a car with that size battery to it. So we have to think about possibly upgrading the house to three phase power system and more solar and inverters to be able to handle the extra load it would take to power and charge the car. And that isn’t an easy process,” penned Jojo.
