Real Housewives of Durban star Jojo Robinson celebrated her husband, former kickboxer Calven Robinson’s retirement after 40 years of working, shared via an Instagram post on 4 March.

If you’ve watched the Real Housewives of Durban, you know the strong bond between Jojo Robinson and her husband, Calven Robinson, affectionately known as “Boo Bear.” Jojo and Calven are known to have a big age gap.
The reality star has announced that Calven has officially retired. Calven is the owner KwaZulu-Natal butchery franchise Bluff Meat Supply and is reportedly invested in the real estate and service delivery sectors. “After 40 years of long hours and days, my Boo bear has officially clocked out for good. 🩷. I’m so proud of what you have achieved and the life you have given us and im so glad you get to spend the rest of your life enjoying that with your family,” she wrote.
“You are proof that hard work really is the core of success. Unfortunately so many people get caught up in the “when is it enough” and forget that life is unpredictable, and there are no guarantees. Calven never intended to work untill old age wouldnt let him anymore, because by the time you get there its harder to enjoy what you worked for,” she continued.
“We’re so proud and so grateful 🙏 🩷 I’ve never met anyone who worked the way you did, apart from your dad ofcourse. The Robinson blood was strong,” she added.
This comes after Jojo showed off the luxury car and more she was gifted by her husband on Valentine’s Day.
20-YEAR AGE GAP
Jojo previously revealed that she and her husband have a 20-year age gap in an Instagram post back in 2023.
“20-year age gap. I mean. Does age really matter.. Boo bear is timeless. And I’m expensive. We match so well 🦄 🌈 ❤️. For anyone that wants to know, we do have a 20-year age gap.. Boo was in the army already when I was born.. 😏,” she wrote.
“We have been together 10 years already.. and I couldn’t imagine my life with anyone else.. Age really never mattered to us.. even tho I won’t lie, I’ve been called his daughter more than a few times 🙄. Although a lot less since his little face surgery, I forced him into last year on RHOD.🤫 also, I feel like my young at heart spirit has rubbed off on boo.. he forgets he is older all the time,” she continued.
