Wrestling legend John Cena concluded his remarkable 23-year WWE career with an emotional and triumphant appearance at a sold-out Monday Night Raw event, streamed live globally on Netflix from Madison Square Garden.

In his final bout, Cena teamed up with allies Sheamus and Rey Mysterio to defeat the stable known as The Judgment Day in a six-man tag match.

The victory secured his advancement in the ongoing ‘Last Time is Now’ tournament.

Earlier in the day, Cena confirmed his retirement intentions on ESPN’s First Take, citing the WWE’s current surge in popularity as the ideal moment to step away and ensure he left fans with positive memories.

The highly publicised event also featured a surprise return: the wrestler formerly known as Dolph Ziggler, now competing as Nic Nemeth, made his reappearance in tournament action.
