South Africa not on Jill Scott’s radar

Returning 11 years after a hiatus from music, Jill Scott released a 19-track album exploring themes of self-worth, spirituality, sensuality, and community.

It is reported that the tour was an intimate, full-sensory neo-soul and R&B immersion. Many stops on the tour enforced a no-phone policy to foster a distraction-free environment so the crowd can engage fully with the performance.

Apologies on Jill Scott’s behalf

In the announcement, the organisers of the event shared that Jill and her team are still exploring the possibility of returning to South Africa at a future date.

“South Africa has always held a special place in Jill’s heart, and she remains committed to returning and reconnecting with her fans as soon as possible,” Showtime wrote in their caption.

Understanding how disappointed fans may be, they offer their sincere apologies.

“We understand how disappointing this news is and sincerely apologise to all fans who were looking forward to the performances.”

Refunds

Showtime explained that those who had already bought tickets need not do much, as they will automatically be refunded.

“All ticket holders will automatically receive a full refund, with no action required. Please keep an eye on your inbox for further communication from Ticketmaster regarding the refund process.”
