Former Orlando Pirates captain Happy Jele says he hasn’t given up hope of getting a club this season.
Jele was speaking to iDiski Times senior writer Velile Mnyandu for the current edition of the newspaper after partaking in the SAFA Ekurhuleni CAF C License course.
The defender has been without a club since leaving Pirates at the start of the current campaign.
There had been reports that the 35-year-old was offered a non-playing role with the Buccaneers, however, he felt he still has more to give to the beautiful game as player.

So far, though, Jele hasn’t found a club with the term’s first round almost done. He says he will not pressurise himself into setting a deadline on getting a new club, but hasn’t given up on his club hunt.
“I think for now there is nothing that has been like a tangible offer that came straight to me but I’m still looking and still available,” Jele told iDiski Times.
“If a team comes now and they are looking for my services, I’m willing to listen to them because I still have a lot to offer in this game.
“So far I have not thought about giving myself a deadline. But you will never know, maybe tomorrow I can wake up thinking differently.
“For now I think I can continue playing and I’m still in shape and continuing to train on my own even though it’s very hard to do that. But when there’s something that you want in life, you keep faith in it.”
