Israel “Izzy” Adesanya has heaped praise on the All Blacks, and in particular centurion Ardie Savea, after their defeat of the Springboks at Eden Park on Saturday, 6 September.

The former UFC Middleweight World Champion was born in Nigeria and later moved to New Zealand, where he took up MMA fighting.

IZZY ADESANYA SHOWS LOVE TO THE ALL BLACKS

The official All Blacks account posted clips of Izzy Adesanya embracing and congratulating the players after the final whistle blew in Eden Park.

In one video, Izzy hugs Ardie Savea, who celebrated his 100th test cap appearance.

“Greatness recognises greatness,” the rugby team captioned the clip.

On his own Instagram, Izzy shared a Story of himself showing love to the Kiwi players.

“When they win, we win”, he posted.

NIGERIA TO NEW ZEALAND

Izzy Adesanya moved to New Zealand with his family when he was just 10 years old.

Although he now boasts citizenship and is an ardent All Blacks supporter, Izzy felt that he didnt fit in as a child.

He told 1News: “I didn’t realise I was black ’til I moved here.

“I mean, I knew I was black and I knew my skin colour was dark, but I never knew it was a problem until I moved to New Zealand and kids were always picking on me and I was always like, ‘what’s up with that. Why?”.
