Ferguson Films’ drama series Kings of Joburg season 2 has been topping the trends since it aired on the 27th of January. Kings of Joburg season 2 received mixed reviews on social media, and Lady Du took to Twitter to share her views regarding the drama series.
Taking to her Twitter account amapiano, sensation Lady Du said the Netflix series was dope and likened it to a Spanish heist crime drama television series Money Heist, created by Álex Pina, which was also a firm favourite among Mzansi audiences.
“Kings of Joburg needs you to sit the whole day and watch it to understand it. It’s actually so dope and interesting. I love it. It’s our South African Money Heist,”
A Legion of Twitter users came to Lady Du’s post in agreement with what she had said. They also pointed out that they are proud of Connie Ferguson for making her husband’s legacy move on.
“I love the plot twist of Veronica, it was so unexpected and it slapped,”
In other news, Connie Ferguson disclosed that she dedicates Kings of Jorburg season 2 to her late husband, Shona Ferguson. Shona died in 2021 due to the COVID-19 pandemic after dropping Kings of Jorburg season 1. After his death, Connie and Ferguson Films team released season 2 of the drama series.
