DJ, podcaster and broadcaster Solomzi Thandubuntu Phenduka, better known as Sol Phenduka, recently revealed the reason behind his suspension from Kaya 959.

Many were left shocked, and some wondering about the reason behind his suspension when Sol told them to watch Podcast and Chill, where he co-hosts with MacG to hear more.

On the podcast, he shared that he did nothing.

“This happened this morning, when I left the meeting, they said don’t say anything. So I didn’t say anything because of the confidentiality clause.

“I’m suspended for seven days. I’m suspended… You know what it’s about, the court case with Minnie. It’s an old story, but when the court case happened, then they came through. Because then obviously you’ve brought the station into dispute, because of what you are affiliated with outside.

“I’m surprised because they were like, don’t talk about it, then they dropped the statement, but I’m like guys I’m doing a podcast,” said Sol.

The former Big Brother Mzansi contestant revealed on the podcast that Kaya 959 has new management, and that he said nothing during the meeting.

“Writing is on the wall, it’s quite clear where this is going but I lasted though,” he said.

Sol was suspended on Kaya 959 on Wednesday. The statement announced that he was suspended with immediate effect as the internal investigation process is underway.

“The station is committed to following due process, and no further details will be shared at this stage. Updates will be provided once the internal process has been concluded and a final decision has been reached,” read the brief statement.
