The first quarter of the year is known as a time when most tertiary institutions in South Africa kickstart their lectures. Could it be that Yolanda Gumbi, better known as Yolliey, is hinting at the possibility of going back to school anytime soon?

HAS YOLLIEY GUMBI ENROLLED AT UNISA?

Yolliey, who rose to fame through her family’s reality TV show on SABC 1 titled The Gumbis, recently shared a cryptic post on her Instagram stories.

She took a photo of a document from the esteemed institute of higher learning, the University of South Africa (Unisa), while in the parking lot. In the text below, she quipped: “Am I really going back to school?”

MOVING ON AFTER DIVORCE

The year 2025 ended on a sour note for Yolliey as it marked the end of her marriage to Mpilo Mdletshe. The internet went into overdrive after the news broke, since many hoped the couple would last.

Their split had all the makings of a nasty divorce, as they continued to drag each other on their respective social media platforms.

Photos of Yolliey’s bruised face went viral, sparking the conversation that she experienced physical abuse in her marriage, while Mpilo retaliated by disclosing that her cooking skills were questionable, claiming she prepared meals unpalatable even for a dog.

Her legion of fans will need to wait until she reveals any prospects of her studying at Unisa.
