Singer and songwriter, Kelly Khumalo seems to have offended many with her stance on deadbeat fathers.
The doting mother of three, whom she shares with Molemo Maarohanye better known as Jub Jub, the late Senzo Meyiwa and Mthokozisi Yende.
The internet quickly assumed that her talk about absent fathers was directed to Jub Jub, as he is rumoured to have been absent in Christian’s life. In the video clip shared by MDN News on X (formerly Twitter), the Empini singer started off by wishing herself a Happy Father’s Day.
In the video clip that was shared, Kelly criticised man who only post children on social media while they are absent in their lives, because the mother does not allow them to meet; calling them social media sperm donors.
She said that a real man would take the matter to courts and fight for custody. Kelly also added that if a man was absent in the life of his child and later returns to claim the child. The father should be more of an uncle than a father, because her and her husband would have assumed the role of raising the child.
X users weighed in.
