Internet reacts after Masechaba Mposwa steps down as weekend anchor on Newzroom Afrika

In a shocking turn of events, seasoned broadcaster and news anchor Masechaba Mposwa announced her immediate resignation as a weekend anchor at Newzroom Afrika.

Her announcement led to many internet users wondering what might have happened behind closed doors. Recently, Masechaba took to her social media pages, including X (formerly Twitter), to let people know that she has stepped down.

“Dear all, I have decided to step away from my role as anchor of the Weekend Report on Newzroom Afrika with immediate effect. To every viewer and my supporters who woke up with me from 6am every Saturday and Sunday, thank you for making this show the success that it is,” she penned.

Masechaba has yet not disclosed her reasons for leaving the role. X users weighed in after the announcement:

Masechaba debuted her career as an actress on Generations, where she gained prominence and later made a stint on e.tv’s Backstage in 2003. She is a former Metro FM presenter known for hosting That’I’Zak and Out of Box.
