Inside Eliza Spencer’s Cape Town engagement party

Princess Diana’s niece, Lady Eliza Spencer, and her fiancé, Channing Millerd, hosted a grand engagement party in Cape Town over the weekend.

The blonde model – who got engaged in Santorini, Greece, in May – is the twin sister of Amelia and the younger sibling of Kitty. Their father is Charles Spencer, the older brother of the late royal.

The Spencer siblings, including brother Louis, were raised in Cape Town, South Africa, out of the spotlight.

INSIDE LADY ELIZA SPENCER’S ENGAGEMENT PARTY

Over the weekend, Lady Eliza Spencer and South African businessman Channing Millerd hosted an intimate engagement party.

The exclusive event took place at a private residence in Cape Town, offering views overlooking the ocean. With stylish decor and champagne on tap, guests included the likes of Springboks Damian de Allende, Steven Kitshoff, and their wives, as well as the couple’s closest friends.

Lady Eliza Spencer wore a bespoke white lace engagement dress, which she paired with diamonds and a designer pair of heels.

WILL SHE WEAR PRINCESS DI’S CROWN?

Lady Eliza Spencer’s future husband is a Cape Town businessman, Channing Millerd, whose current role is the COO of Marxhoff, the alcohol beverage company co-founded by Springboks Malcolm Marx and Steven Kitshoff.

He also manages Lala V, a luxury Provence rosé wine that he co-founded with his now-fiancée.

Eliza’s wedding will come hot on the heels of her twin sister Lady Amelia, who married in 2023, and her older sister Lady Kitty, who wed in 2021.

Unlike Diana’s two sisters, Lady Jane and Lady Sarah, who wore the Spencer Tiara on their wedding days, Eliza’s sisters chose not to wear the diamond-encrusted family heirloom at their nuptials.

According to reports, their decision to break with tradition varied from reports of the gesture eliciting “painful memories” of Diana’s death to claims of a strained family relationship.

It’s unclear if Lady Eliza Spencer will become the first in her immediate family to wear the pricey piece of jewellery.
