Inside Ayanda Borotho’s ‘airy’ lounge after couch revamp! [video]

On 10 June, Ayanda Borotho treated her Instagram followers to the ‘airy’ ambiance of her lounge after a spectacular couch revamp that complemented her beautifully decorated home.

AYANDA BOROTHO SHOWS OFF NEW CHIC COUCHES

In her lengthy caption, the former Isibaya actress made it clear that she is not into trendy interior decor, such as “minimalist” or “blacks and whites,” as though no one lives in that house.

“I love interior decor; I live for it, and in a world that’s so obsessed with looking the same, our homes are riding on what’s trending. Minimalist, whites and blacks, like no one lives there,” she began.

Therefore, she opted for a “vibrant colour” that brought a whole lot of sparkle to her lounge, infusing her own creativity into “the setup.”

“I was tempted to do similar for my daughter’s apartment but because vibrant colour is so important to me to give life to a space, I put my own twist to the set up,” she added.

To bring this vision to life, Ayanda once again called upon Ntuthuko from Dreamy Furniture, whose service was “exceptional.”

AYANDA SUPPORTS RELIABLE BUSINESSES

Ayanda was pleasantly surprised by the team’s workmanship after past disappointments with business owners.

She felt compelled to advertise Dreamy Furniture because hardworking, professional businesses deserve support, and she promised to use their services again for her formal lounge area.

“Meet Bhut Ntuthuko of @_dreamy_furniture. They initially made my boys’ beds, had no idea who I was, and the service and quality was [were] exceptional. So, I gave him another gig, [an] entrance lounge couch. I needed to make the space more airy,” she wrote.

“As a disclaimer, I wasn’t asked to post. I wanted to because I believe businesses who are serious about business should be supported,” she added.

The author and entrepreneur recounted her negative experiences with service providers over the past few months. These include sheer incompetence and instances where they disappeared after paying the deposit.

“Over the last couple of months, I’ve dealt with shameless providers, from going AWOL once paid, one disappeared with a 60k deposit, and some simply don’t know what the hell they’re doing,” she wrote.

BITS AND PIECES OF AYANDA’S MODERN HOME

After a seven-month break from social media, Ayanda has made quite a personal comeback, sharing glimpses of her wholesome home life on Instagram.

In May 2026, she posted a series of photos showcasing her lush vegetable garden, which includes green peppers, lemons, and chillies.

“One of the things I was very intentional about during my 7-month hiatus was that I am going to rest but also dedicate time to create new spaces in my home,” she wrote.

“Connecting with the soil was such a healing process for me, not only because it rooted me but also because it re-ignited my creation/ creative power,” she added.

In the same month, Ayanda, who cherishes her heritage, posted a video of herself baking in her modern kitchen.

While Ayanda has not shown much of her home, the tiny bits the public has seen so far indicate that the good sis has an eye for impeccable interior design.

Draped in an orange pinafore, Ayanda posted new video today (11 June) picking some spinach from her garden.
