Like Patrick Shai, Riky Rick hinted that his time on earth was coming to an end. That’s what fans seem to believe after his passing…

After his last cryptic tweet about “returning a stronger man”, many media personalities have recalled their last conversations with the star, who they claim hinted at saying goodbye.

In one particular clip, old footage has re-emerged of a bittersweet interview done with the rapper in 2021.

And fans think it was a premonition of things to come…

RIKY RICK INTERVIEW GOES VIRAL

In an interview with YouTuber King Oumar, Riky Rick chatted about his fashion style and how much his designer outfit cost.

But it was Riky’s parting words during the segment that have come back to haunt viewers.

He said: “Have faith. Take care of your friends…support each other.

“We’ll catch you on the other side. It’s your boy Riky Rick; if you never hear from me again, God bless you.”

Heartbroken fans reacted to the clip on Twitter.

“This one is a clear sign”

“You can tell he switched from being playful to being in his emotional state, his eyes were saying it all”

“If you never hear from me again means he has been thinking about it”

“Depression victims always plan their suicide for a long time before finally going ahead with it. They live one day at a time hoping that something will happen to change their mind”

FRIEND WEIGHS IN ON STAR’S DEPRESSION

Meanwhile Riky Rick’s close friend Jo Lurie has spoken out on witnessing Riky Rick spiral through depression.

The TV producer and podcaster recalled an incident years ago which she claims gave insight into his daily life

She tweeted: “I spent 6 months on set with him in 2017 watching him go through this. His struggle and the pressure to continue to be Riky Rick through depression, weighed heavy”

Jo posted a screenshot of her notes at the time that read: “One of them who I truly love and respect, whose name I’m obviously not going to mention, once explained to me after I found them hiding in a corner during the lunch break, how they needed to withdraw from people in order to salvage some of their energy to be able to put on their #blessed face and do their job

“They were so deeply depressed, it would take so much out of them to pretend to be ok. They would just take tiny breaks wherever they could, just to be alone and be real. The fakeness was overwhelming for them”.
