I Wish She Still Had Her Dad
It was an emotional moment for DJ Zinhle and her daughter, Kairo Forbes after she performed her late father’s song.
Last week, Nadia and Kairo Forbes went viral after showing people their rehearsal for the Galaxy 94.7 Joburg Day show dedicated to AKA.

The big day, which was on Saturday, finally came and it wasn’t easy. DJ Zinhle has opened up about how her first daughter got emotional after performing her dad, Kiernan AKA Forbes’ song.
The female DJ wrote on Instagram about how the young girl acted bravely on the show despite being hurt by the sudden death of her dad.
“After bravely performing her dad’s song in front of thousands of people, my 8-year-old broke down crying saying she just misses her daddy & wishes he was here. Actually, Kairo tries a lot to suppress her feelings and this is one of the few times I’ve seen her cry like that,” she wrote.
“This is happening while @thando_thabethe is announcing me for my performance. @nadianakai is so brave, she took over as I walked onto the stage crying & heartbroken..”
Zinhle is proud of her daughter but wishes her father was still alive.

“Halfway into my first song, @kairo.forbes was standing next me – check the last slide. You can see that she literally wiped her tears and stood bravely next to me. I am so proud of her but I wish she didn’t need to be so brave. I just wish she still had her dad.”
