Musician and podcaster Londie London opened up about her lonely pregnancy journey during the first episode of her much-anticipated reality television show Life with Londie London, which aired on 21 May.

INSIDE LONDIE LONDON’S LONELY PREGNANCY JOURNEY

The first episode started on a rather interesting note. Among the various scenes in the show, one that tugged at many viewers’ heartstrings was when Londie opened up about being all alone during her two pregnancies.

Reflecting on her motherhood journey, she said:

“I’m blessed to have my kids, but man, it took a lot to get here. I was alone in both pregnancies. I’ve never experienced baby daddy being there,” she began.

“Even with all my scans, I was alone. He never even came to the hospital after giving birth. Both pregnancies, not just one,” she added.

“It hasn’t been easy because they look like their dad. I never imagined myself to be a single parent,” she said.

The mother of two was married to businessman Hlubi Nkosi, but they divorced in 2022.

Londie further described her marriage as “There was no love, it was very cold, you know, Hillcrest is always cold, but at that house it was always minus 20 degrees.”

INSIDE LONDIE LONDON’S FAMILY LIFE

The multi-talented superstar was born in Durban to Dudu Zulu, a professional accountant, and the late Zakheleni Christopher Zulu.

However, she grew up in Melmoth, KwaZulu-Natal, until her mother got a job in Witbank, where she spent most of her childhood.

She has two children, a son, Uminathi, and a daughter, Bomikazi, whom she lovingly calls her “Irish twins” due to their close age difference.

Other people within Londie’s inner circle are her younger brother Mongezi Zulu, who loves taking up “anything that has art in it,” and her friend Qophelo Ndwandwe, an entrepreneur who describes himself as “a generous person”.
