Makhadzi is desperate to help Dr Malinga after he detailed how SARS repossessed everything he had after failing to settle a debt. Dr Malinga has been topping trends of late. Born Doctor Goodwill Malinga left Mzansi in tears and touched the hearts of many when he opened up about his financial woes. The celebrated musician detailed his financial woes when he revealed how his property was repossessed after he failed to settle a debt he had. In a candid interview with Sol and MacG during a Podcast and Chill with MacG, he dived into his battle with SARS (South African Revenue Service).

During the interview, he broke down as he detailed how his assets were repossessed and auctioned off in July this year as part of his R2.1 million tax bill. A few weeks ago, the Via Orlando hitmaker hogged headlines for the wrong reasons when it was revealed that his assets were being put on public auction to settle off his tax bill.

During the interview with MacG and Sol, the celebrated singer and producer gave a detailed account of his R2.1 million debt woe. Maling has it that back then, in 2019, he managed to settle R1 million of his R2.1 million debt. After that, he would pay whatever amount he could. However, in the mix of things COVID-19 pandemic hit hard, which took a toll on his gigs and led to his financial woes.

“In music, you depend on being called for your service. Adding that he tried to reach out for help. After two years, SARS came. I called Minister Nathi Mthethwa, and we talked. I was calling people that I worked with, but they didn’t come to my rescue,” he said.

Several sources have it that he was stripped of his furniture, music equipment and a bakkie which amounts to a fine tune of R500 000 worth of movable assets.

“They took everything. When you enter my house, if you don’t have a heart, you will laugh. My house is empty,” he said in the interview.

He wont to reveal that he still owes R500 000. In the mix of things, Mzansi at large has vowed to settle the owing amount through cash donations. Confirmed reports have it that he has since shared his banking details, and Mzansi has already started depositing different sums of money to help him out from his financial woes.

In the mix of things, multi-award-winning sing Makhadzi has offered to help Dr Malinga with a slot on his one-woman show. This has since thrust both Makhadzi and Malinga into the top trends. We can’t wait for this epic performance slated for us. Taking to social media, Makhadzi posted:
