Musician Nadia Nakai recently set the record straight about her relationship status.

This comes after her pictures and videos with fellow musician Toss, where the two were cosy, leading to social media users believing that they were launching their romantic relationship.

The Naaa Meaan hitmaker sat down with L-Tido on his podcast to speak about her love life, among other topics. She made it clear on the podcast that she is not dating Toss, he simply approached her to be a vixen in his music video.

“I’m not dating Toss, and I feel like you should understand this more than anyone because of the industry; probably the time we even came from. It’s a video promoting his new song featuring Elaine, it’s a love song. He asked me t0 come be the video vixen in a song. We both didn’t expect it to blow up the way it did,” said Nadia.

She also revealed that she is still under the cloud and stigma of being someone’s widow; someone she was not married to. Nadia and slain rapper Kiernan ‘AKA’ Forbes dated from 2021 to the time of tragedy, where AKA was shot and killed in Durban, in 2023.

“I love him, and I will always love him. He has a special place in my heart, but I am ready to move on. I’m ready to find love again. I don’t want to feel like I’m judged for that. And like I told you, I felt like I wasn’t desirable, I felt like men didn’t want to talk to me, flirt with me or engage with me; because there was this cloud of ‘I belong to Supermega’, and you need to understand that Kiernan has been dead more than I have been with him when he was alive.

“So I was still getting to know him and I loved him, he was an amazing boyfriend to me, but I’ve had longer relationships than Kiernan to mourn and move on from. I’m at a place where I want to. People can say whatever they want, no matter what I will move on, and for me, I feel like the next time you see me with my actual boyfriend you wont serve the energy on the Toss one, because this Toss one was a shocker. Therefore, I’m kind of protecting my future bae. I’m still Nadia Nakai, and I was Nadia Nakai before and I will be Nadia Nakai after Kiernan,” said the rapper.

Nadia Nakai details how she USED Toss to her advantage, clearing the “I belong to SuperMega” cloud so she could have a smooth transition into her next relationship with her real boyfriend😭

“I’m still Nadia Nakai, & I was Nadia Nakai even before Kiernan.” YOH!😬
