Prince Kaybee responds to fan linking his career to Black Coffee

Prince Kaybee has once again found himself at the centre of online chatter after a fan reignited talk of his long-standing feud with Grammy-winning DJ Black Coffee.

A social media user took to X (formerly Twitter) to share a rather blunt opinion about Kaybee’s career trajectory.

“If you didn’t pee in Black Coffee’s face you would be on the line up in Ibiza by now. Your music is too good but unfortunately it is beyond SA market, only a few listens to that in the country, amapiano are killing it. Here home just make sure ifebe are jamming to your music.”

The tweet quickly caught attention, but Prince Kaybee’s calm and confident response left no room for controversy.

He replied, “I don’t need Black Coffee, and you also made some good points 🙂. Be well.”

His short and composed response sparked mixed reactions online, with fans divided over whether the star’s independence has helped or hindered his international recognition.

The exchange also revived memories of the well-documented tension between the two house music heavyweights.

Their feud dates back several years and has played out publicly across social media and interviews.

Kaybee has been vocal about his differences with Black Coffee, once accusing him of arrogance and suggesting that he doesn’t uplift other artists.

I don’t need Black Coffee, and you also made some good points 🙂.

Be well. https://t.co/A0g86usZ5q
