“I could feel him getting cold from his feet,” Zandie Khumalo reveals how Senzo Meyiwa died in an interview with eNCA

She has been trending of late after sharing her story about what really happened the night Senzo Meyiwa died. Songstress Zandie Khumalo had a sit-and-tell with the eNCA, and she spilt the beans leaving Mzansi with a lot to desire. Well, of interest, this is her first time talking about the fateful night that claimed the life of former Bafana Bafana and Soweto giants Orlando Pirates shot-stopper.

Senzo was shot at point blank in 2014 whilst the company of his then-girlfriend Kelly Khumalo. There seems to be no end to Mzansi’s barbs toward the Khumalo family. Given that she was one of the people inside the house, many have been waiting for her side of the story. She dived into the events that happened that night. The songstress has it that the police tormented their neighbours for hours to serve the interests of the police.

“I want to apologize on behalf of my family, it was not opur intention. We didn’t plan for anything, but It just happen. I would not wish this to happen even on my worst enemy because it is an ongoing cloud that is forever hanging on your shoulders,” she said.

Zandie rubbished the claims that the crime scene was tempered before the police arrived. These claims were made by advocate Malesela Teffo during his cross-examination of Sgt Thabo Mosia.

She said: When they say the crime scene was tempered with, I don’t know what they mean. First of all, our house was too small. The minute you have 5 people it’s a full house. By the time we returned from taking Senzo to the hospital the house was packed. Some of the people we knew and others we didn’t.”

Advocate Teffo asserted before the courts that Senzo had already died by the time he was taken to the hospital. However, Zandie was singing from a different hymnal. She said she tried to save his life.

“I was the one sitting with Senzo at the back of the car, putting pressure on the wound leading to the hospital. Even on our way to the hospital, I could feel him getting cold from his feet. I was busy talking to him all the way, trying to keep him alive .” she said.
