HT: Mayo puts CT City ahead against Maritzburg | Breaking News

Cape Town City have taken a 1-0 lead against Maritzburg United at half-time in their DStv Premiership clash at Harry Gwala Stadium.

City were keen to test the Team of Choice defenders in the opening moments of the match, but their efforts were fruitless.

The game opened up as the first half began to draw to a close, and both goalkeepers were forced into action.

Khanyisa Mayo produced a perfect penalty to get his fourth goal of the season in the 45th minute of the showdown.

The half-time whistle blew with the KwaZulu-Natal side trailing behind by 1-0.
