HT: Makhubu’s brace fires Tuks ahead against Royal AM | Breaking News

AmaTuks have opened up a surprise 2-0 lead over Royal AM in the first half of the Nedbank Cup quarter-final clash at Chatsworth Stadium.

With victory guaranteeing the visitors a semi-final spot, University of Pretoria spent the majority of the first half toiling at the finish line in the rainy cold weather.

Wonderboy Makhubu broke the deadlock in the 19th minute of the contest.

The game turned scrappy and congested as both sides looked to establish control in midfield.

As the half progressed, It was an encouraging period for Tuks, as Makhubu completed his brace in the 27th minute.

The showdown went into the interval with John Maduka’s side trailing behind by 2-0.
