“Busisiwe was excused from set due to not being well. After not returning to work, colleagues tracked down the family. Once her dad was notified he immediately went to Busisiwe’s house, where he found her in her daughter’s room.
“He called the police, who summoned paramedics. . Busi was declared dead at 11.15pm. The family is devastated.”

On the brighter side, the late actress has scooped a SAFTA nomination in the category of Best Actress in a TV Comedy. This is for her role as Tumi Sello, the family’s black sheep, in the Netflix comedy series On How to Ruin Your Life Christmas.
Busi will compete with Ashley De Lange, who plays Rietjie in G.I.L. Julia, who plays Megan Markle in Comedy Mixtape, and Shamilla Miller
Anastasopoulos, who plays Tali Babes in Tali’s Baby Diary, and Ilse-Lee Van, who plays Tali in Tali’s Baby Diary In Troukoors, Niekerk plays Jessica Riekert.
The SAFTAs will be held on September 2nd and 3rd, 2022.
