Marumo Gallants interim coach Raymond Mdaka has revealed how they plan to approach their last two CAF Confederation Cup matches.

Gallants have been in great form in the CAF Confederation Cup tournament this season compared to the last term.

Bahlabane ba Ntwa are cruising nicely in Group A standings, having accumulated nine points from four outings.

On Wednesday, Gallants defeated USM Alger 2-0 at the Dobsonville Stadium in Soweto. One can call it an act of sweet revenge.

The last two games will be against Al Akhder of Libya on their own turf and St. Eloi Lupopo of DRC Congo at home.

However, Gallants’ mentor, Mdaka, remains confident that his side will be able to make it to the knockout phase.

“The very same way we take our games. We’re taking it one game at a time,” said Mdaka in a post-match interview.

“We are going away playing against a team [Al Akhder] that we beat 4-0. We will not take advantage of that we beat them here.

“We go there to take three points. Then hopefully, we will be on the drive to go for the next round.”

When asked if the boys will be able to save the team from the sinking ship in the DStv Premiership given their busy schedule, Mdaka said: “I think mentally our boys are ready and understand what’s happening.”

“You know, sometimes when you are tired is only the mind that can carry you.

“So, the mentality, character and attitude stay the same. Even in the league games, we will do the same as well.”
