Sundowns’ Miguel Cardoso secured the Coach of the Month award for January–February 2026 after leading Kabo Yellow to a perfect record of four wins from four matches.

The streak began with a 2–0 victory over Sekhukhune United and was followed by a 2–0 win against Orbit College FC. These results established the team’s momentum heading into the high-pressure fixtures of late February.

The most significant result of the period was a 2–1 away victory against title rivals Orlando Pirates at the FNB Stadium, a match widely cited as the reason for Cardoso’s selection.

He concluded the award-winning run with a hard-fought 1–0 win over AmaZulu FC. By maintaining a 100% win rate during this window, Cardoso beat out other nominees, including Abdeslam Ouaddou and Gavin Hunt.
