The 2023 Hollywoodbets Super League season kicks off this weekend with all 16 clubs in action.

Last season’s debutants City Lads host rookies TS Galaxy Queens at Isaac Wolfson Stadium at 15:00.

Galaxy acquired the status of Vasco Da Gama last month and on Thursday announced their players including a strong Banyana Banyana contingent of Nomvula Kgoale, former JVW Girls captain and two-time top goal scorer Nompumelelo Nyandeni, Busisiwe Ndimeni and Mamello Makhabane.

Coal City Wizards will be starting life without founder, chairman and coach the late Mabu Moroaswi at home against University of Western Cape (UWC) at the Puma stadium (15:00).

At the same First Touch Academy welcomes Tshwane University of Technology (TUT) in Ladana in Polokwane while University of Johannesburg (UJ)  will be looking to shine in their newly donated boots by the Thembi Kgatlana foundation in the earlier kiss-off away at the Chatsworth stadium against Durban Ladies (13:00).

On Sunday JVW Girls and Thunderbirds Ladies kick off proceedings off at 11:30 at the Lucas Moripe stadium in a Televised double header in the capital city, as defending champions Mamelodi Sundowns Ladies start their defence against Richmond United later at 15:00 at the same venue.

Capricorn and Mopani regions in Limpopo will be spoilt with action with the rookies’ derby between Copperbelt Ladies and the University of Pretoria, at the venue they both gained promotion at the old Peter Mokaba stadium, while Ma-Indies Ladies host Royal AM in Malamulele. Both games kick off at 15:00.
