Hillary Gardee was shot in the back of her head- killed execution style

Hillary Gardee‘s family says she was shot execution-style & allegedly forced to withdraw R1,300 before she died. Family spokesperson says there might be a much deeper motive for her killing. Police forensic team found a bullet at the back of Hillary’s head

No one has been arrested in connection with the death of Hillary Gardee, the daughter of former EFF Secretary-General ,Godrich Gardee.

The Mpumalanga police have appealed to anybody with information that may lead to an arrest to come forward.

Members of the community discovered the 28-year-old Gardee’s lifeless body in the bushes. Her head had injuries. She was last seen at a Spar complex in Nelspruit on April 29, when her disappearance was first reported.

Mpumalanga police spokesperson ,Donald Mdhluli, said that Gardee was still wearing the same clothes that she was wearing when she was reported missing.

“Police in Nelspruit were called by some members of the community that were on their way to work informing them about the body of  a woman,” he said.

Mdhluli said when the police arrived at the scene, they discovered the body of a woman with a wound on her head. He said the body was confirmed by the Gardee family as that of Hillary’s.

In a statement, EFF said her passing left the Gardee family distraught, and the collective leadership of the party at a loss for words.

Police Minister, Bheki Cele and National Police Commissioner, Lieutenant-General, Fannie Masemola,  visited the crime scene and the Gardee’s family on Tuesday.
