Golden Arrows co-coach Vusimuzi Vilakazi has oddly advised Ntsako makhubela to leave Orlando Pirates.
Vilakazi has expressed his desire to keep on-loan Pirates midfielder Makhubela beyond the end of the current season.
Makhubela is on a season-long loan at Arrows from the Soweto giants; Pirates.
In KZN at Arrows, the skilful attacker spent three seasons between 2019 and 2022 before his big move to Gauteng.
But after struggling for game time, he was sent back to the KwaZulu-Natal side for 2022/23. The 28-year-old has featured eight times with one goal so far.
Speaking after the 2-1 defeat at the hands of SuperSport United in the league on Sunday, Vilakazi had some advice for Makhubela.
“I know Makhubela is on loan [from Orlando Pirates]. But if Makhubela wants to enjoy his football, he must ask Orlando Pirates to release him so that he must stay here,” he said.
GOLDEN ARROWS COACH VUSUMUZI VILAKAZI WANTS NTSAKO MAKHUBELA TRO STAY
“It’s pointless to go back if you are not going to play. He is such a talented and quality player but he needs game time. It is up to him as to how he handles this situation but we would love to keep Makhubela as well.”
VILAKAZI OVER THE PULE MMODI TRANSFER TALKS
Furthermore, Vilakazi also insists he wants to move away from the possible transfer of Bafana Bafana player Pule Mmodi and allow the player to focus.
“I am over that thing if Pule [Mmodi] stays or whatever. I did mention that Pule is staying with us; he is committed. Look at him; you can see that he is fighting for the club,” he said.
“Something apart from that is beyond my control but what I know now is that we are working with Pule and we will finish the rest of the season with Pule because he is a good player and is also adding value to our team.”
