Gunshots fired at Sizok’thola crew as Xolani Khumalo’s drug bust turns violent

Posted on July 15, 2025

Chaos erupts as Sizok’thola host Xolani Khumalo and crew come under gunfire during drug bust

A terrifying moment unfolded during the filming of Sizok’thola when the show’s host, Xolani Khumalo, and his crew came under gunfire while conducting a drug-related raid.

The shocking incident, captured on video and posted by an online user identified as @mbali_ndlela, shows the crew scrambling for safety as gunshots rang out in what appeared to be a hostile confrontation with an alleged drug dealer.

In the short clip, chaos ensues as the Sizok’thola team is seen fleeing the scene, clearly caught off guard by the sudden burst of violence.

The exact location of the incident remains undisclosed, but the footage has since gone viral, sparking an outpouring of concern from viewers and social media users.

“This is wild. They’re risking their lives to expose the truth,” one user commented, while others expressed shock and fear over the increasing dangers faced by the show’s investigative crew.

Since returning as the face of the hard-hitting show in April 2025, Xolani Khumalo has taken on the dangerous task of confronting drug dealers head-on.

While the show has seen its share of dramatic moments, this appears to be the first time a confrontation has escalated into gunfire.

I wish the show was still in KZN for this episode, so they would have been Mkhwanazi-ed.😞 #Sizokthola pic.twitter.com/B7pTwxzFLh
