Guess Who Showed Up With Dali Mpofu At EFF Manifesto Launch

Many times there’s always a false narrative that when lawyers are representing politicians from different political parties, it means they will be enemies in real life.

This has been the narrative that was being pushed that advocate Tembeka Ngcukatobi who usually represents cases of those seen as president Cyril Ramaphosa’s allies doesn’t see eye to eye with his counterpart, advocate Dali Mpofu who usually takes up cases of those seen as former president Jacob Zuma’s allies and is currently representing Zuma on his arms deal corruption case.

But the truth of the matter is that Dali Mpofu and Tembeka Ngcukatobi are actually close acquaintances and that’s why Mpofu showed up at the Economic Freedom Fighters election manifesto launch at Gandhi Square over the weekend with Ngcukatobi.

The red berets also wowed their followers when they unveiled the Winnie Mandela House in honour of the struggle stalwart.

Dali Mpofu shared a photo with his colleagues in front of the unveiled Winnie Mandela House.

“The situation right now at Winnie Madikizela Mandela House. The home of Economic Freedom, Pan Africanism and the struggle for the collective Repossession of Our Land,” he said.

What’s also symbolic is that Dali Mpofu shares the same birthday with the late struggle icon, Winnie Madikezela Mandela who would have turned 84 years on the 26th of September.

This year’s birthday of Dali Mpofu was a hype of activities from the launch of EFF’s election manifesto, to unveiling of Winnie Madikezela Mandela’s House.

Mpofu said it was one of the best days of his life.

“Thanks to each and everyone of my people for the kind beautiful birthday messages and thoughts expressed and unexpressed throughout the day!

This was truly one of the best days of my life. A great Manifesto Launch, opening of our EFF HQ and a surprise dinner with all the children,” he said.
