  • The Government Employees Pension Fund (GEPF) is halting submissions for 2-Pot savings withdrawals from October 7 to October 21, 2025.
  • This suspension is necessary for the Fund to update its systems with new actuarial factors for benefit calculations.
  • The withdrawal service will resume on October 22, 2025, with all other GEPF services operating normally in the interim.

The Government Employees Pension Fund (GEPF) announced today that it will temporarily suspend the processing of savings withdrawal applications under the new “2-Pot” system.

The suspension will be in effect for a two-week period, running from October 7 to October 21, 2025. The GEPF stated that this operational pause is essential to allow its systems to be updated with newly implemented actuarial factors, which are crucial for accurately calculating members’ benefits.

“This pause is necessary to allow the Fund to update its systems with the recently implemented actuarial factors used to calculate members’ benefits,” the GEPF press statement read.

During this time, GEPF members will not be able to submit new savings withdrawal applications via the fund’s self-service platforms.

However, the fund emphasized that all other benefit payments and services will continue as normal throughout the suspension period.

The GEPF expressed its apologies for any inconvenience caused by the temporary halt. The fund thanked its members for their “patience and understanding” while it completes what it called “these important updates.”

The GEPF expects the savings withdrawal functionality to be fully reinstated on October 22, 2025, once the system updates have been successfully finalized.

Members seeking further information are advised to visit the GEPF website, contact the Call Centre, or visit their nearest GEPF Office.
