South African gospel singer Ayanda Ntanzi has spoken out against Christians who called his flying act during his One Man Show “demonic”.

His performance, when he flies from the roof to the stage, has drawn criticism from some Christians who said it was “demonic”.

However, others compared him to American singers like Beyoncé and Chris Brown, who have performed similar acts.

“People should let me praise God in my own way. Don’t judge my performances and say I lack the Holy Spirit.

“God says come as you are. Praise Him however you like. So who are you to judge me? Let’s respect each other and show our talents the way God has blessed us,” said Ntanzi.

Ntanzi spoke about this for the first time at the reSURGEnce Gospel Fest held at the Durban ICC on Saturday. His reaction came after his One Man Show concert on 13 July.

His flying act is not new in South Africa. Maskandi artist Khuzani Mpungose also did it during the Gcwalisa iMabhida Stadium concert in 2018.
