Former Kaizer Chiefs central defender Lorenzo Gordinho has signed for Danish First Division club HB Køge until the end of 2023.

Gordinho has spent the past two years in Denmark, playing for Viborg FF, but left the Super League club at the end of last month.

However, Gordinho was snapped up by Køge immediately and has signed a one and a half year deal with the club.

Gordinho who also played for Bloemfontein Celtic and Bidvest Wits, will wear the number 5 jersey

“From the first time I heard from the club, I became interested in the project here and in working with Daniel and the rest of the coaching staff at HB Køge. There is a clear strategy, and I am convinced that I can adapt and fit in, ” Gordinho told the club’s website

“I have gotten used to Danish football already, so I hope I can contribute on the field quickly. I want to help the team and I look forward to working with and growing under the club’s coaching staff who have a good understanding of the game and know what they want.

“That is why it was also easy for me to see a good future here.”
