Celebrity actor and presenter Moshe Ndiki, who plays the role of a rude teacher Mr Andile Faku on Gomora, a Mzansi Magic telenovela, shocked Mzansi after spending a fortune on the funeral of his dog “Sugar Ndiki.”

Sugar Ndiki was more than a dog.

There is no doubt that Sugar received love from Moshe, who referred to him as his firstborn; the pet dog became a celebrity after various public appearances with his father. An Instagram celebrity who managed to amass more than one thousand followers on his official account, Sugar served lit content to his followers.

Sugar untimely passed on the 16^th of June after a short illness; Moshe officially announced his death after two days of mourning in silence.

Moshe Ndiki’s dog’s expensive funeral

Moshe’s dog goes down in the history books as the first dog to have a memorial service and an expensive funeral in South Africa. Indeed the man was the dog’s best friend till the end; Moshe spent a whooping R65 000 for his dog, Sugar Ndiki’s funeral. It was a well-deserved huge sendoff which left Mzansi talking.

Speaking to the media, Moshe explained his move to bury his son “Sugar” in a glamorous way.

“Sugar was more than a pet in my life; he was my son and has been there for me through thick and thin; he was more than a man’s best friend. He lived a glamourous life and deserved such a sendoff; he was an important part of our family. I want to thank my friends and relatives who bravely overcame the cold and attended Sugar’s funeral,” Moshe Ndiki.

The funeral and memorial ceremony was streamed live on Instagram and was watched by more than 400 000 thousand followers.

Mr Faku in Gomora

Moshe joined Gomora to play the role of an unscrupulous English teacher who is Melusi Dlamini’s cousin and has a history of stealing. The troublemaker cum scammer has every trick under his sleeve to manipulate people for financial gain. Through divide and rule tactics, Mr Faku has Gomora High School administration by the horns and watches as the drama unfolds.
