It was a weekend full of goals and drama in the ABC Motsepe League weekend fixtures with other provinces busy with the Nedbank Cup qualification matches.
In the KwaZulu-Natal, goals and drama were the order of the day, as we witnessed Stone Breakers crash Mtuba All Stars 5-1 on their own turf, whereas Summerfield Dynamos edged past Mkhumbane Classic 3-0 at home in Stream A.
Over to Limpopo, Tzaneen United’s problems keep on mounting as they suffered a 3-0 defeat to Ngwaabe City Motors.
This was the Mopani-based side’s second successive loss. As things stand, the team remain at the bottom of Stream B with nothing to show off after two games, and the chances of them surviving the chop are huge as there are still 14 games left to play.
Meanwhile, the high-flying Blackcross got the better of Matjhabeng 2-1 to consolidate their top spot in Stream B of the Free State ABC League. The side is currently cruising on the summit of their stream with nine points from three games, a 100% record win thus far.
