Despite being held to a draw, Richards Bay remain top of the GladAfrica Championship after this weekend’s action.
The GladAfrica action began on Friday when Tshakhuma picked up a 2-1 home win against Pretoria Callies.
But the goals dried up on Saturday and there were three goalless draws, with leaders Richards Bay being held by Polokwane City in a top-of-the-table clash. Uthongathi and Free State Stars ending scoreless, as did the game between Black Leopards and Hungry Lions.
Saturday’s only other fixture also ended in a draw, as TS Sporting and Cape Town All Stars ended 1-1.
On Sunday Venda Football Academy and JDR Stars missed a chance to move closer to Richards Bay as they drew 1-1
And it was AmaTuks who made the biggest move of the weekend as they shifted to within three points of the leaders, after their 2-0 win away at Platinum City Rovers.
Meanwhile it ended 1-1 between Cape Town Spurs and Jomo Cosmos. Cosmos remain in the fifteenth spot, just ahead of bottom-placed Black Leopards.
