Get to know the Real Housewives of Durban’s new cast members. Real Housewives of Durban (RHOD) pulled a shocker when it seemingly revealed the exit of its three leading cast for the much-awaited reality show season three. Less than a month before season three is beamed, Mzansi has been trying to connect the dots on the three housewives making their way to the show.
We can all agree that the much-awaited wait is over, and Mzansi is not patient enough to wait until 1 February to meet the new housewives. The new housewives will be replacing viewers’ favourites singer, Londie London; Our Perfect Wedding presenter and mother to one of former president Jacob Zuma’s children, La Conco; as well as a radio presenter and wife number three to polygamist Musa Mseleku, Thobile Mseleku, will not be returning.
In the wake of their exit, Showmax has already dropped the names of the new housewives who have since joined the show. The new cast members will join the likes of Annie Mthembu, Jojo Robinson, Nonku Williams and Sorisha Naidoo for season three. Let’s dive into the new cast members and their professions.

MARIA VALASKATZIS
Maria is a celebrated media personality. She has had an illustrious career as a television presenter, producer and writer. She also doubles as a media and communications agency MV Consulting director. Of interest is that she also happens to be the co-owner of the video production company VKATZPK Media. Taking to the media, she revealed that she is honoured to be part of the star-studded cast of RHOD.
“The Real Housewives of Durban is such an amazing platform where women can showcase their personalities and talents. The show consists of cast members that have very strong personas, and I think my personality will help balance out the various types of energies we all have. The decision to join is also rooted in my activism for women empowerment and mental health. So I believe that by having this cohesion with the other six ladies, we can definitely use this platform to make change and inspire other women.”
SLINDILE WENDY NDLOVU
She is the founder of Mawesi Consulting, an events management company. Slindile also holds a Degree in Human Resources with experience in events management and interior designing.
“I echo my cast members’ sentiments about the vast opportunities The Real Housewives of Durban presents for all of us, especially our overall personal growth. For me, this is an avenue to start all over and rebuild not only as an individual but also as a single mother. I come from a six-year relationship, and I feel I wasted my time and energy. I gave it my all, so when that didn’t work out, I thought, ‘Why not? Let me try this.’ This platform grants you the chance to promote and rebrand, especially when you’re coming from a place of starting over again,” Slindile said.
MBALI NGIBA
She is a celebrated musician, actress and the co-founder of African Centric Designs. Mabli is best known for her on-screen character of Buhle on the defunct Mzansi Magic telenovela Isibaya. With an illustrious career spanning years in acting, she also starred in Mzansi Magic telenovela Greed and Desire as Welile.
“I joined Season 3 as it felt like a great opportunity to be a part of such a successful franchise amongst such amazing women. When watching Season 1 and 2, I couldn’t shake off the feeling that I’d also add great value as a cast member. So when they approached me I agreed. I also joined because I’d like to see some personal growth within myself as an individual and as a business,” Mbali said about joining RHOD.
