Muzi Mthabela is an iconic actor who has been gracing Mzansi with his extraordinary acting skills. He made headlines when he dumped Imbewu The Seed for Generations The Legacy in search of greener pastures. Rumour mill has it that the showrunners of Generations The Legacy offered him a fortune, and he was left with no option but to ditch Imbwewu. It’s true money talks, his character was killed on Imbewu, and he is now playing Nkosiyabo on Generations.

He joined Generations not long ago, but his character is already making waves proving that he is indeed a legendary actor. Muzi has a charming way of not notching every role he is given to portray, and Mzansi loves him for that. However, besides being a mega-star actor Muzi Mthabela is an academic genius with a degree to show for it.

Muzi grew up in KwaZuluNatal under the guidance of a single mother. His mother raised him, and his father was not present in his life. When growing up, Muzi wanted to be a Chief priest, but his mother wanted his son to be a graduate. He dropped his dream and pursued an honourable profession to be a trophy son to his mother. Having punched above his weight and battled alcoholism, he continues to serve as an inspiration to youngsters.

The actor we all love to hate did his matric at a local secondary school in KwaZulu Natal. He worked hard and passed grade 12 with good grades. After passing his matric, Muzi registered for tertiary education at the University of KwaZulu-Natal, and he graduated with a degree in Postproduction and Editing.
