Gautrain has partnered with PRASA to operate a late-night integrated train service for fans attending the highly anticipated Scorpion Kings concert on Friday, 29 August 2025.
The concert will take place at Loftus Versfeld Stadium in Tshwane.
Attendees are encouraged to travel via Gautrain to Pretoria Station, where PRASA trains will transport them directly to the stadium.
In a joint statement, the two rail agencies confirmed that the late-night service will not extend to Rhodesfield and O.R. Tambo International Airport.
“Standard Gautrain fares, parking fees, and travel rules apply. Our R1-a-day parking promotion, valid until 31 October 2025, is also in place. This integrated train service offers concertgoers a safe and convenient option, helping them avoid traffic congestion and the risks associated with drinking and driving,” said Tshepo Kgobe, CEO of the Gautrain Management Agency.
Kgobe added that Gauteng frequently hosts large-scale lifestyle and entertainment events that require reliable and efficient transport.
“This late-night integrated train service is exactly what is needed to ease pressure on our roads,” he concluded.
