Mamelodi Sundowns and Marumo Gallants have announced their starting line-ups for this evening’s DStv Premiership clash at Peter Mokaba Stadium.
Relegation-threatened Gallants have a chance to save themselves from axe as they face the monsters of Africa.
Bahlabane Ba Ntwaa kept their chance of survival in midweek when they faced Maritzburg United at the Harry Gwala Stadium and secured a last-minute draw.
The CAF Confederations Cup semi-finalists came back twice in the game to save a point for themselves. Dylan Kerr’s side has gone eight matches unbeaten in all competitions, and they will hope to continue with that form against the Masandawana.
The newly-crowned champions will be keen to surpass their 2015/16 record number of points (71) with two matches to go. If they are to beat that record Masandawana will have to win both remaining games and go to 72 points.
But Downs dropped two massive points against AmaZulu in midweek after leading the game 2-0 and ended the match 2-2 draw, which was their fourth draw in five games since they’ve been confirmed as champions.
This fixture was brought forward due to both clubs being busy in CAF inter-club competitions. These two sides have faced each other on two occasions this season both matches were won by Sundowns, including a Nedbank Cup 3-1 victory.
