Marumo Gallants are said to be keen on luring Dan Malesela back as head coach just three months after parting ways.
Gallants are looking to replace Romain Folz, who hasn’t officially been confirmed to have left the club after a tumultuous two weeks.
The 32-year-old accused Chairman Abram Sello of trying to interfere in technical team matters while Technical Director Harris Chueu went on to state there were issues as Folz “did not want help” from senior management in an interview with Soccer Laduma.
Folz confirmed to this website that he hasn’t resigned but is letting his lawyers deal with the matter after a “breach of contract” after being told he will be an assistant coach to Raymond Mdaka against Swallows FC last week.

Amidst all the drama, the Gallants hierarchy has believed to have sounded out Malesela for a potential return, despite an ugly departure where the current Royal AM co-coach confirmed he was not told about his exit and was waiting for a contract renewal after guiding them to the Nedbank Cup final and subsequent CAF Confederation Cup qualification.
It’s understood that Malesela is not closed off to the idea amidst murmurs of discontent of being one of three co-coaches at his new employers despite a decent start to the season.
Gallants are currently 15th on the table with six draws and one defeat from seven games while AM are fourth, with four wins, one draw and three defeats.
