Gallants – 5th Game in 15 Days

Marumo Gallants have had the tightest schedule lately, which sees them playing their fifth game in a space of 15 days.

Bahlabane Ba Ntwa have been fighting tooth and nail to survive relegation in the last two weeks and managed to get some breathing space by moving to 14th place in the standings.

They were able to carry their momentum from the CAF Confederations Cup, where they secured a spot in the quarter-finals, into the DStv Premiership, where they have gone unbeaten in six games.

Unlike Sundowns, who had their midweek game against Richards Bay postponed ahead of their CAF Champions League quarter-final, Gallants have to play SuperSport United on Tuesday evening – with Kerr insisting all their final league games are cup finals, with his side not out of the relegation battle.

“Yeah, another final tonight, in fact, they are all finals. We’ve got four finals coming up and two cup games against Pyramids FC,” Kerr told iDiski Times.

“We did our training, we do our preparations, this is our fifth game in 15 days. It is ridiculous, but yeah we have to play and we are leaving Thursday for Egypt to face the Pyramids.”

Gallants is expected to leave the country on Thursday ahead of their CAFCC quarterfinal first leg against last 2020/21 semifinalists Pyramids on Sunday evening.
