Former Kaizer Chiefs and Mamelodi Sundowns midfielder Keagan Dolly has officially signed with Cape Town City FC, joining the club on a free transfer following his departure from TS Galaxy in July 2025.
The 32-year-old enjoyed a brief stint with the Rockets, making 20 appearances and scoring three goals across all competitions after joining them in November 2024.

Dolly was last part of Bafana Bafana’s squad at the 2024 African Nations Championship (CHAN), which was held across Kenya, Tanzania and Uganda.
He featured in four matches, although South Africa failed to progress beyond the group stage under coach Molefi Ntseki.
Before heading to CHAN, Dolly underwent a trial at newly restructured Siwelele FC – formerly SuperSport United – however, the club opted not to sign him for the 2025/26 Betway Premiership campaign.
Cape Town City confirmed the signing this week, expressing confidence in Dolly’s experience and leadership to help the club return to the Betway Premiership following their relegation.
“No need to guess anymore. We are pleased to confirm the signing of midfielder Keagan Dolly. Welcome to the City family, Keagan,” the club said in an official statement.
Keagan Dolly was already present at Athlone Stadium last weekend, where Cape Town City opened their season with a goalless draw against Venda FC in the Motsepe Foundation Championship.
He joins a growing list of new recruits, including Sifiso Ngobeni, Njabulo Ngcobo, Mickey van der Hart, and Simon van Duivenbooden.
The club has also recalled Lorenzo Gordinho, who captained the side in their first game, and goalkeeper Luca Diana-Oliaro who has penned a new long-term deal.
