After playing the 2021 edition behind closed doors due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the COSAFA board decided that this year’s edition will be free of charge to spectators.
Stadiums are expected to be at full capacity during the regional competition following the South African government’s announcement of lifting COVID-19 restrictions on gatherings. A vaccination certificate or a negative test are no longer required to gain entry to stadiums.
“Fans will be able to collect tickets on a first-come, first-serve basis at the match venues one day prior to the games being played. On match day, tickets can be collected from the sports centres at the three venues,” COSAFA stated.
“And for those around Southern African region who cannot be at the stadium, matches will be broadcast live by SuperSport, selected games will be on SABC Sport and matches will also be live-streamed around the world on COSAFA.TV.”
Three venues will be used during the competition; King Zwelithini Stadium, Princess Magogo Stadium and Moses Mabhida Stadium.
