Four countries make offers for Orlando Pirates superstar

Orlando Pirates and Bafana winger Relebohile Mofokeng has openly discussed the possibility of moving abroad.

The 21-year-old is expected to leave the Buccaneers sooner rather than later.

Orlando Pirates star Mofokeng has plenty of admirers

Al-Ettifaq, Maccabi Haifa, Maccabi Tel Aviv, Minnesota United and Russian side FC Akron have all been credited with an interest in the player. Mofokeng was forthright about the possibility of exploring his options:

“I think if something can be available for me, I can get the chance somewhere in another country. I think it will be a very good move. This tournament is very important [in that aspect],” Mofokeng stated on Goal.
“When I get a chance, I’ll just have to grab it,” Mofokeng added.

Sundowns land R57 million star, Orlando Pirates must act

Betway Premiership champions Sundowns have once again flexed their financial muscles with the acquisition of 25-year-old striker Brayan León for R57 million. This move might prompt Pirates to reconsider letting go of Tshegofatso Mabasa, although the 29-year-old is heavily linked with a move away. Rele Mofokeng must ponder offers from abroad. However, some readers have suggested that a move to Sundowns wouldn’t be beyond the realms of possibility. After all, they have the money, and they’re perennial champions of South Africa. The Bafana man is still getting going this season, yet to score in the league after nine outings.

Orlando Pirates sign De Jong, but who suffers?

The Sea Robbers have brought in Andre De Jong from Stellenbosch. The 29-year-old New Zealander prefers to play in the number 10 role, which means several players might be considering their futures at the club.
