Former Orlando Pirates midfielder has renewed his contract with his club

Former Orlando Pirates and Free State Stars midfielder, Mpho Makola will remain in the Cape Town based side, ahead of the upcoming season.



According to Cape Town City Football Club’s official website, Mpho Makola has extended his contract until June 2022.

The Alexandra born star is currently 35 years old, which might be one of the reasons why the club only extended his contract by one year.



The former Orlando Pirates midfielder has been at Cape Town City Football Club since 2019, after parting ways with the Sea robbers.

With a big squad that The Citizens have, it has not been easy for Mpho to be a regular starter, however, he has enjoyed his stay at the club.



There has been rumours that the club might be selling their midfielder, Thabo Nodada, to the Soweto based side Kaizer chiefs Football Club.

Which simply means the club should be more wiser in the transfer market.
